May They Be Blessed is a different kind of devotional tool. It's an invitation for parents to pause for a moment, receive truth, and share God.

We know parenting young children means that there isn't much downtime and when it comes, it's irregular at best. So, this devotional is built around a 2-3 minute pause and packs a lot into the quiet moments that you capture with God.

Truth

Each devotional begins with reading a short snippet of Scripture from the Book of Psalms and distilling a digestible truth about God's character.

Here's the part that we are most excited about! Every devotional incorporates truth about God into a prayer meant to empower, equip, and teach our kids about God. These blessings are short, but profound and can be shared with kids of all ages.

A Look Inside

Each devotional entry is short and simple, but thoughtfully constructed to help you get the most out of the moments that you have with God.

First, each entry opens with a short reading from the psalms and an explanation of what that piece of scripture reveals to us about God. This section provides a devotional thought and deepens understanding.

Next, comes the core of each entry, which is the blessing. The blessing is a prayer that encapsulates the truth that you just learned and proclaims it over your children. It's short enough to recite regularly at different moments throughout the day but is infused with enough meaning and depth that it could be repeated forever.

Finally, each entry ends with a reflection question. This can be used as a journal prompt or simply a question that you let simmer as you go about your day. The point is that it's the things that we personalize and think on that stick with us. This is the step where we take a generic truth about God's character and ask how it applies to our lives.

As a family ministry pastor, I have worked with so many parents who long for their kids to have a deep, meaningful, and thriving relationship with God that will survive all that life might throw at them.
